Multicast / SIP PAGING via FreePBX and OpenScape Business

The OpenScape Business platform is installed in 1000's of locations that are affected by Martyns law in the UK, and in other countries where Paging from the PBX is required to more than the allowed "standard" paging on OpenScape Business.

Viegli have created a custom integration using a FreePBX (Asterisk) deployment that allows you to integrate multicast and SIP paging to the Osbiz.

💡

Note : Multicast paging can only be done locally on the customers LAN. In this documented example a VPN is in place between the OpenScape business hosted in the Viegli core and the customers premises.

The paging gateway should ALWAYS be deployed on the customer premises.
